He earned a Master\u2019s degree in periodontology and implant dentistry (MAS) as well as a dual doctorate (Dr. med. dent.; PhD) before attaining the title of \u201cPrivatdozent\u201d in periodontology and implant dentistry at the University of Bern, Switzerland. He is a certified periodontist by both the European Federation of Periodontology and the Swiss Society of Periodontology. Dr. Roccuzzo is a former ITI Scholar, a recipient of the Andr\u00e9 Schroeder Research Prize for both pre-clinical and clinical research, an ITI Fellow, and a member of the Editorial Board of Forum Implantologicum.
